Josephine "Dawn" Moorehead - Obituary

osephine Dawn Moorehead, “Dawn”, 70, a 25-year resident of Annapolis and previously of Upper Marlboro, MD, passed away at her home on Thursday, December 8, 2022. Dawn was born on September 1, 1952, in North Carolina to the late Thomas and Josephine Dudley. She graduated from the University of Maryland, College Park, and worked as a Senior Paralegal with McNamee Hosea Law Firm. Dawn was a longtime member of St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in Annapolis and enjoyed hiking, reading, sewing, and preserving our environment. In addition to her parents, Dawn was preceded in death by her brother, Joseph Dudley. She is survived by two daughters, Melissa Moorehead of Robbinsville, NJ, and Andrea Moorehead of Ellicott City, MD; her former husband, Keith Moorehead; one brother, Lee Dudley of South Carolina; and her beloved grandson, Lucas Shapiro. Family and friends are invited to celebrate Dawn's life on Saturday, December 17 at 3 PM at St. Luke's Episcopal Church, 1101 Bay Ridge Ave, Annapolis, MD 21403. Interment will immediately follow the service in the cemetery's memorial garden.
